The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) hosted a field visit under one-week course on ASEAN Integration participated by 17 graduate students from the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) Schools on 14 June 2017. 

Prof. Federico M. Macaranas (first row, seventh from right) of the Washington SyCip Graduate School of Business of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), facilitated the course which explored ways to harness and maximize available opportunities brought by the regional integration from the perspective of Management Science.

Highlights of their visit to SEARCA are discussions on global value chains and environmental issues in agriculture specifically related to the Center’s research project on the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Carabao Center (DA – PCC)-funded Value Chain Analysis of Carabao and Carabao-based products in the Philippines and the project onAgricultural Transformation and Market Integration in the ASEAN Region: Responding to Food Security and Inclusiveness Concerns (ATMI – ASEAN) funded by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
